Diane Schildbach

Trombone

Diane Schildbach began playing the trombone at the age of 8, following in the footsteps of her big brother on the San Francisco Peninsula. While studying trombone with Dr. Jeffrey Williams at the University of Oregon, she earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Elementary Education.

Over the years, Diane has enjoyed a variety of musical experiences. She has played with the Ohlone Wind Orchestra, Livermore Valley Opera, Tri-Valley Repertory Theater (formerly Pleasanton Playhouse), Alameda Civic Light Opera, Hayward Little Theater, Brazzissimo, Messiah Brass, and church brass choirs. Currently, she serves as the principal trombonist in the Livermore Amador Symphony, alongside her husband.

Diane is grateful for the opportunity to volunteer at her local middle school and high school, working alongside staff to provide budding low-brass musicians with the best foundation possible for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
